The first step in our emotional intelligence blueprint is learning how to categorize emotions. Teach kids (and adults) how to recognize their emotional state and put it into the proper category.

  • Green – happy, calm, ready to listen & learn
  • Blue – tired, sad, sick, low energy
  • Yellow – disgust, fear, worry, strong feelings but still in control
  • Red – anger, frustration, extreme excitement, out of control
